At Double V Ranch, our breeding program is rooted in precision genetics and data-driven herd management. Every animal is individually tracked from weaning through finishing, with detailed records on feed efficiency, weight gain, and carcass performance. This quantitative approach enables us to cull underperforming lines and retain only those cows and bulls that consistently meet our high standards for marbling, tenderness, and yield. We selected the Speckle Park breed not only for their Canadian heritage and distinctive appearance but for their proven ability to convert feed efficiently and marble naturally—even under grass-dominant or variable feed conditions. Unlike many traditional breeds, Speckle Park cattle exhibit ideal carcass traits with a leaner fat profile and finer grain texture, allowing us to consistently produce AAA and Prime-grade beef without relying on excessive feed days. The result is a more sustainable, high-performance herd that delivers flavorful, tender beef—batch after batch, season after season.
